September 8th World Literacy Day

September 8th is World Literacy Day (it’s also my birthday, but no need to send any gifts!).  This day, September 8th every year, has been designated by the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).  The United Nations has designated the years 2003-2012 as the literacy decade.  Lend a hand; help teach someone to read today.
