Baby Boomers Unite — We’re not taking it Anymore!

by Shelley Bueche

If you are a member of the Baby Boomer generation, then you’ve noticed that either the print in phone books is getting smaller, your arms are getting shorter, or a combination of the two is happening.

“Vision is obviously an issue of baby boomers,” says Jack Romanos of Simon and Shuster.  They are increasing the size of paperback books, from 4 3/6 inches by 6 ¾ inches to a size of 4 ¼ inches by 7 ½ inches so that the type size is larger and there is more space between the written lines.

Great idea!  When do they hit the stands?!
