A WriterOnLine Publication
My dear readers,
As I stare out my window this fine morning, I’m in awe of the glorious sunshine, and I wonder how many more days of this beautiful weather we will have before the change of seasons? With this in mind, the theme for our issue is fresh starts. As you all know, this is my second issue as your official Chief Editor, and I am honored to be here, writing to you.
With this fresh start, and all the other happenings – the start of another school year, the welcoming of new life into our world, and so forth – I hope that we will continue to discover and develop great ideas together. It’s thrilling to think about all the looming possibilities, both in life and for the advancement of WOL.
For this issue, our editors and writers have touched upon the sentiments of fresh starts, provided useful writing tips, and entertained with their words. I hope that you enjoy perusing this issue and reading these words as much as I have. In addition, I am delighted to announce a new column to WOL: The Write Book Buzz, which will be co-authored by Nick DiChario (current editor of our Random Acts column, and owner of The Write Book and Gift Shop, our official book store) and Dan Plumeau (Director of Marketing of The Write Book and Gift Shop). This column is dedicated to featuring books, providing you with the good, the bad, and the plain-just-don’t-read. In our last issue, Dan wrote a review on Astro Turf: The Private Life of Rocket Science, and in this issue, Nick shares his view of Son of a Witch. Make sure you check out this review, and while you’re at it, take a look at The Write Book and Gift Shop Web site: www.Writebookandgifts.com.
Enjoy the rest of our sunny days as you continue on with work or head back to school. I hope these brief words find you well, and until next time, write well, write often, and most importantly, keep writing.
My warm regards,
Jodi L. Rowland
