The Celebrated Jumping Frogs of Calaveras County Are Hopping Mad!

The red-legged frog featured in Mark Twain’s tale: The Celebrated Frog of Calaveras County, was listed as a threatened species in 1996, when about 70% of the frogs were wiped out due to pesticides.
Finally, a federal judge in San Francisco has ordered officials to complete a study determining whether or not the frogs are being harmed by pesticides.
Let’s hope it’s not too late!
