Write
a Tongue-in-Cheek Thank You Letter
In honor of Thanksgiving, we thought we'd give
you something a little different to try. Instead of the
usual 'thank-you's' that people expect, why not try your hand
at writing a Thank You Letter to someone you would never consider
thanking, for obvious - or not so obvious - reasons. Here's an
example of a tongue-in-cheek Thank You Letter you might write
to a boss you don't especially like:
Mr. Smith:
Thank you ever so much for being my boss. It
has been quite an amazing experience. Never have I had someone
who gave me so many different assignments, many of which he could
do himself, but was gracious enough to give to me, so that I
may learn and grow as a person. I don't know anyone who
can so easily watch others do his job without one jab of conscience;
you make it look so easy. And what a thought, allowing
me to take over your job while also doing my own when you went
on vacation, surprising me with an additional week on top of
your usual 3 weeks so that I may learn even more how much I should
appreciate you.
P.S. I never would've gotten my new position
without your talented instruction. You have been a true
mentor for me.
Your NEW boss,
Jane
Have fun with this - it's a great way to let
off some steam.
