Highly Controversial Writings: Collected by Doubleday/Random House Publishers

Oral teachings of Osama Bin Laden and the writings of Ayman al-Zawahiri, bin Laden’s chief strategist have been acquired by Doubleday/Random House for a low six figure sum. The book will be released in 2006 and is tentatively titled the Al-Quaeda Reader, offering a guide to the ideology of the jihad movement.

The publisher said it would put money back into publishing other books that provide a perspective on al-Quaeda, and will name a charity for proceeds for sales.

I’m not sure I’ll purchase this book for the grandchildren, but it’s a definite read for me.
