Partnership: Harper-Collins and Smithsonian

Building on Harper Collins international brand appeal and Smithsonian’s stellar and trusted name, the publishing industry’s top two performers are collaborating to produce an overall quality of published books that will generate an expansion of brand and content in the marketplace.

Equitrend ranks Smithsonian Institution (SI) at 94% among adult Americans and is number-one for quality and trust. Over 20 million visitors reach the Institution’s various websites every month with over 7 million readers of the Smithsonian Magazine.

Collins is one of the most respected and recognized reference brands in the English-speaking world. This coupled with SI will maximize the sales and distribution of quality trade books. Students from elementary to college level use trade books as part of their curriculum.

The launch for this partnered project will take place in Fall of 2005.
