Marriage: Sterling Publishing Co. and DIY Network

Sterling Publishing Co., Inc. and DIY Network have partnered to create and publish books using the DIY trademark. They will jointly create a book program of eight titles a year, beginning with two titles in Fall 2005. Book titles will cover everything related to do-it-yourself projects such as home improvement, automotive, crafts, gardening, hobbies, and woodworking.

Sterling, a subsidiary of Barnes & Noble, Inc., is a leading publisher of non-fiction titles with over 5,000 titles currently in print. DIY is a television network and part of Scripps Networks, a division of E.W. Scripps Co., whose other networks include Home & Garden TV, Food Network, Fine Living, Shop at Home, and Great American Country.

Sharpen your pencils and get out your pens. If you have any topical do-it-yourself tips, they’re interested.
