The Frommer’s Guide to Elective Surgery in Thailand?

Americans are turning to elective surgery in remote spots, such as India and Thailand, while combining surgery with vacation at the same time.  Why, you might ask?  Simple, bypass surgery that might cost over $100,000 here in the U.S., can be done for as little as $12,000 overseas.  Certainly there are drawbacks, including the fact that if something goes wrong while undergoing the scalpel, a lawsuit would have to be filed in that country where the surgery took place, not the United States.
