Beware, Authorgeddon is Coming!

The United States is on the verge of reaching authorgeddon—that is the point at which the number of books published surpasses the number of American who read even a single book in one year!  R.R. Bowker, a leading source for bibliographic data, released data concluding that by the year 2052, 148.4 million books will be published to an audience of just 129.4 readers.

Amazing to note that there is a new book published every 30 seconds.  By the time you read this passage, depending on whether or not you are a speed reader, one to two more books will be in print.
