For the Time Crunched—

Yes, its official, the International Earth Rotation and Reference Systems Service (www.iers.org) has announced that we Earthlings will receive an extra second this year; a leap second.  Because of the slowdown of the Earth’s rotation, (have you noticed?), they will be making this adjustment.  There have been 22 leap seconds since 1972. 

Now you can stop complaining about not having enough time!
